Utilisation of remnants
Remnants can arise during any sheet metal working. With the help of the Böckelt system, all remnants for the entire operation are visible. The system allows anyone, without having to ask permission, to access the remnants and reintegrate them into the production process. A streamlined organisation depends on the economic benefits of remnant utilisation.
A state-of-the-art remnants utilisation system cuts down material costs and does not even have to be complicated. The employees measure the accumulating remnants when storing and entering the values in the system. A decisive advantage is the detection of the actual status, which stands in contrast to systems merely recording the target values. Deviations resulting from alternate production of faulty parts are factored in immediately.
The Böckelt Tower software allows you to enter and store any sheet measurement and retrieve it for new orders at the push of a button. An essential element for a smooth sequence is the reservation of positions and remnants for specific orders. This reservation can be viewed immediately by all members of the staff. Double allocation or utilisation of remnants are thereby eliminated. The simple exchange of information between production, work preparation, sales and purchasing prevents errors and, thus, saves time and money!
The use of the transponder system minimises the time necessary to find materials and access the storage system.
When using this system, all that is left for you to do in order to optimise your item and inventory care is assign the items to the cassette you are using – the position will be detected automatically and constantly updated by the system!
You can network any number of storage systems even if they are spatially separated from one another.
The transponder system is installed in the BÖCKELT TOWER outside of the work area where it is protected.
The stored items are assigned to the cassette used in the management software. The cassette can be stored in any available storage location in the BÖCKELT TOWER as the system will read its new position automatically.
This function allows for dynamic stock-keeping.
If used in combination with the software, the transponder system will not only cause the shelf software to indicate the position of the cassette containing the requested material but also highlight the position in the rack using an LED, which allows the forklift operator to easily find it - Pick by Light principle.
